Privacy Policy

guid-gen.com is a simple, client-side tool to generate RFC 4122 UUID v4 identifiers. UUIDs are generated locally in your browser using the Web Crypto API; they are not sent to a server.

Data we process

We do not collect names, email addresses, or the UUIDs you generate. We use Firebase/Google Analytics to collect aggregate, event-level usage metrics (for example, counts of Generate, Copy, or Download actions). This helps us improve the site.

Google Analytics may process your IP address and set cookies or similar identifiers, subject to Google's privacy policies. We do not merge analytics data with any personal identifiers.

Cookies

We do not set cookies for UUID generation. Google Analytics may set cookies for measurement. You can use browser settings or extensions to block analytics if you prefer.

Retention

We do not store UUID outputs. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics defaults.
